Rodney & Patti Cox

Rodney and Patti have been members at Alpine for almost 40 years and Rodney has served as one of the Alpine ministers since May 1981. They have two children, Roderick of Frisco and Candice Oviedo of Longview, 6 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. Patti has been a preschool teacher at Oak Forest Montessori School for 30 years and has taught infants and toddlers at Alpine for 32 years. In addition to teaching Bible classes, their ministry involvement includes Fun Bunch Ministry, Care Ministry, and Connection Ministry.

Eddie & Mary Gooch

Eddie and Mary have been members at Alpine for over 20 years.  They have two married daughters, five grandchildren (with whom they love spending time), and will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on January 5th!  Eddie has 23 years of full-time ministry experience having served churches in Oklahoma, Virginia, and Texas.  25 years ago, he transitioned into full time counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist where he continues in private practice.  Mary has worked as a Realtor for the past 30 years and currently is associated with Summers Cook & Co.  She especially enjoys the relationships that she has made over the years through realty. While at Alpine, Eddie has served on the church staff as part-time Family Life Minister, been a previous Shepherd, and taught consistently in the Adult Education Program.  Mary’s involvements at Alpine have included Beth Moore Bible Studies, Heartfelt (Women’s Ministry), and WINGS (Women In God’s Service).  Her desire is to personally minister to women, in her own quiet way. Eddie and Mary also love being involved with Alpine’s Life Group Ministry.

Ron & Deb Green

Ron and Deb have been Alpine members for over 15 years. They have 4 grown children, Teresa Bagley and husband Randy of Elysian Fields, Betsy Collier who went to be with Jesus in 2007, Josh Green and wife Amy of Severance, CO and Chris Rigsby and wife Cindy of Hallsville. They have eight grandchildren, Ryan Collier and wife Brooke of Marshall, Haley Coleman and husband Clay of Marshall, Hope Self and husband Tyler of Hallsville, Garrett, Weston (who went to be with Jesus) and Natalie Green of Severance, Cole Buzbee and Clarabel Rigsby of Hallsville, and 3 great grandchildren, Bryson and Gracie Collier and Heidi Coleman all of Marshall. Ron retired from teaching school, working in law enforcement and doing gun repair, which he still does part-time. Ron has been involved with the Ironmen ministry and the safety team ministries. Deb has been involved in the Praise Team ministry.

Harry & Debbie Hoelzle

Leadership Oversight Team (LOT); Children & Tween Ministry Shepherd

Harry and Debbie have been members at Alpine for 40 years. Harry has served as an elder at Alpine for the past 20 years. They have 6 children. The three oldest (boys) and their families live in the Dallas area. The three youngest (girls) and their families live in Longview and the Houston area. Harry is a retired engineer from Luminant (TXU) and Debbie is a retired pre-school teacher from Alpine Christian Academy. They have served in several ministries at Alpine such as children’s, missions, life group and outreach ministries.

Keith & Neva McClurg

Leadership Oversight Team (LOT); Worship & Technology Ministry Shepherd

Keith and Neva have been Alpine members for 42 years and Keith is currently serving as a Shepherd. They have three children, Steven of Thousand Oaks Ca, Donny of Dallas Tx, and Kevin of Frisco Tx, and three grandchildren. Keith is an HR/Training Instructor in the natural gas industry for Archrock and Neva is retired from East Texas Council of Governments in accounting. Their ministry involvements include Class Teaching, Missions, Worship Ministry, Praise Team, Safety Team, Tech Team, and Life groups.

Kevin & Dee Anne McCrary

Kevin and Dee Anne have been members at Alpine for 22 years and Kevin is currently serving as a youth ministry deacon. They have one daughter and son-in law, Kristen and Alex Rollins of Austin. Kevin is a radiologist at Christus Good Shepherd. Additional ministry involvement includes worship ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, and Medical Emergency Team.

Chris & Teri Norwood

Chris and Teri have been members at Alpine for more than 20 years. They have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Chris recently retired from the medical field and they own a local real estate brokerage.  He has been a leader with Alpine’s Scouting program for 25+ years and together, Chris and Teri, serve as coordinators of the Life Group Ministry.

Clint & Kathy Pirtle

Leadership Oversight Team (LOT); Outreach Ministry Shepherd

Clint and Kathy have been at Alpine for 8 years where Clint has served as elder for the last 4. Married 44 years in January, they raised 4 children: Larry, deceased; Shelley, Canton TX; Stephanie, Longview; and Lena, Nashville TN. They have 12 grandchildren. Clint retried from law enforcement after 30+ years, 24 of which as a Texas State Trooper. Kathy worked 16 years for Texas Utilities and 12 years as secretary for the Canton Church of Christ. Together, they are involved in Bible teaching (youth & adult), Heartfelt (Women's Ministry), Leadership Training for Christ (LTC), Safety Team, Care Ministry, Iron Men's Ministry, and life groups.

Adrian & Dori Walton

Adrian and Dori Walton have been members at Alpine since 2004. Adrian is currently a deacon serving the Alpine Youth Ministry (AYM) and also serves on the Safety Team & Missions Ministries. Dori serves on the Heartfelt Ministry Team & WINGS (Women's Ministries). They have 3 children (Dylan, Rebekah and Rachel) and 2 grandchildren (Beatriz and Alessandra). Adrian has worked for the Texas Department of Transportation as a Transportation Engineer since 2004 and Dori has worked in the church office and ACA since 2008. Their ministry involvement in the past few years has mostly focused on serving in the youth group. They have traveled to McAllen, Camp of the Hills, Winterfest, and the North Texas Leadership Conference (LTC) with AYM. They have also filled teaching roles, cooked and served food in the loft, and helped with AYM service projects.
